Fans of Ash Williams and the Evil Dead franchise have patiently waited for season 3 of the Starz hit Ash vs Evil Dead, it is coming. Ash has fought deadites, he had to kill his sister and a few friends, teamed up with a half demon named Ruby, but this time he’s a small business owner and the most surprising of all, a father.
Season 3 will continue in Ash’s hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan; two new settings will come into play, as previously mentioned, Ash is now a business owner selling discounted items to his fellow citizens, and of course, the introduction of Elk Grove High School where Ash will encounter a new kind of deadite…a cougar mascot. The cougar mascot is not the only new addition to the deadite family; images surfaced a few days ago showing Ash taking on the largest deadite yet.
One big question fans have had, what exactly is season 3 going to be about?
The third season finds Ash’s status in Elk Grove, Michigan has changed from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead!
Being a parent is hard, so in addition to the new imagery and trailer released for season 3, Ash himself has offered up a little bit of parenting advice via @AshvsEvilDead on twitter.
Season 3 of Ash vs Evil Dead premiers Sunday, February 25th at 9 pm on Starz.

It’s safe to say that Zac Efron has left his Disney days behind him in a big way. In the last two years he has been in films such as Dirty Grandpa, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and the film adaptation of Baywatch, but he has moved on to much more sinister pastures with his role as notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
They began filming last year and the project is headed by Oscar-nominated director, Joe Berlinger (Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2), and was written by Michael Werwie (A Rose Reborn).
The film will be told from the perspective of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (played by Lily Collins), who lived in denial of his atrocities for years before ultimately turning him over to police.
Yesterday, Efron took to Twitter to give the world a sneak peak of himself as Ted Bundy with this post:
A slightly closer look at the two side by side:
After his arrest, Bundy confessed to 30 murders in seven states between 1974 and 1978. He took the real number of victims he claimed to the grave with him, but the number is believed to be much higher.
Visually, it appears Efron has what it takes to portray Bundy; only time will tell if he can truly channel one of America’s most notorious madmen.
What happens when greed gets the best of a person? The events of ‘The Campus‘ from Gas Money Pictures provides the answer. The film was written and directed by Jason Horton (Monsters in the Woods) and stars Rachel Amanda Bryant (The Disappearance of Madison Bishop), Britt Sheridan (Supernatural), Robert C. Pullman (Billy Bob and Them) and Scott Menville (Teen Titans Go!).
Robert dies after breaking his deal with the Devil, bringing his daughter home for the funeral. Morgan arrives with the intent of ripping off the family business but soon finds herself in a never-ending cycle of terror; being brutally murdered then resurrected over and over again – each time losing another piece of her soul.
‘The Campus‘ will premier in Hollywood in late January and hit VOD via Amazon Instant on February 1st. If you are more of a DVD/Blu-ray person, sadly you will have to wait until April for the film.

Freddy Krueger is one villain that hasn’t exactly been synonymous with the word cute, but he is now. Mezco has announced that Mr. Krueger will be joining fellow horror icons, Jason Voorhees, Ash, Regan and more as an adorable Living Dead Doll. Unlike his other licensed counterparts, Freddy is the first licensed TALKING Living Dead Doll.
The Freddy Living Dead Doll comes equipped with 7 iconic phrases:
- “Come to Freddy”
- “You’re all my children now”
- “You shouldn’t have buried me, I’m not dead”
- “Kids, always a disappointment”
- “You think you was going to get away from me?”
- “Ha ha ha ha ha”
- “Every town has an Elm Street”
To activate these phrases, you simply push a button hidden on his back, so you will most likely have to remove him from the box (Living Dead Dolls are easy to repackage) to use the speaking function.
Freddy will stand 10 inches tall with 5 points of articulation. He will be packaged in a die-cut window box for easy display. Current pre-order price is $50; Amok Time Toys is offering free shipping on their pre-orders. Freddy returns, this time much cuter, in July.
“One, two, Freddy’s coming for you
Three, four, better lock your door
Five, six, grab your crucifix
Seven, eight, gonna stay up late
Nine, ten, never sleep again”
